Finding original HP laptop's charger information

Hello, 

My charger was replaced with someone else's charger, so I ended up with another HP laptop charger, and that person ended up with mine. I need to know information about mine's original charger which I bought when I bought my laptop several years ago, so I can contact potential person(I suspect on several persons) which has my charger and inspect if that's my genuine charger. Also, could I found laptop's model which belongs to that person using information of charger I ended up with in order to find that person faster and retrieve my charger?

The charger your notebook originally came with is part number 693711-001.

That part number will be listed on the charger.

Unfortunately, a search of that part number yields nothing of use.

The part can be used in many different model notebooks and yours is not listed.

Paul_Tikkanen, is it possible to find laptop's model knowing CT number of charger I ended up with, or do I need additional information about charger so I can find easily the person which has my charger?

Ok. Paul_Tikkanen I have one more question. Does part number of charger that you have posted previously depend also on serial number of my laptop, or only depend on laptop's model that I have?

That part number is good for any HP 655 notebook, not just yours.

I hope you can track down the person who has yours.

Otherwise you will have to buy another one if the one you have now isn't working for you.
