Hi @Lalit36,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it must be when your HP 15.6" Laptop PC 15-d5000 (Product: 4V9Y1AV) keeps freezing, especially with only 12 days left under warranty. Let’s address this quickly and properly while you’re still eligible for in-warranty service.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting:
1. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
- Turn off your laptop.
- Press the power button, then immediately press Esc repeatedly.
- Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Run:
- System Test
- Memory Test
- Hard Drive Test
Let me know if any of this fails.
2. Update BIOS and Drivers
- Visit your model’s support page:
🔗 HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d5000 (4V9Y1AV) | HP® Support - Download and install:
- BIOS update
- Chipset drivers
- Graphics drivers
3. Check for Windows Errors
- Press Win + X > Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System.
- Look for critical or error messages around the time of the freeze.
4. Perform a Clean Boot
To rule out software conflicts:
- Press Win + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
- Under Services, check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all.
- Under Startup, open Task Manager and disable all startup items.
- Restart your PC and see if the freezing stops.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
