I had the backlight of my keyboard nicely light up when I typed and fade out after 30 seconds as I had set in the UEFI firmware. Than, after the upgrade to W11 it was turned off. I just want to share my solution for your benefit.

- I went into the setup menu (esc/esc/esc... during boot) and turned the bios setting to 'automatically turn on', OFF. Rebooted and the backlight was ON in W11. But it wasn't fading. It was actually for the first time it was ON, dimmed, or OFF (F9).
- I went back into the setup menu at boot time and turned the automatic setting back to: ON. I set it to a few seconds dimming. Booted back into W11. The backlight was completely disabled again.
- I went back into the setup menu at boot time and turned the bios setting to 'automatically turn on', OFF. Rebooted and the backlight was fading while typing again inside W11 OS.

So: no clue, but it works because I turned it off twice. ;-). I hope I am found and useful to others.
