I wish to use a external GPU but I am wondering if the hp 250 g5 notebook has a pcie slot and also if the laptop can use a external GPU and  if there will be bios installing problems.

Its kind of a guerilla hack and HP does not support it or keep any kind of information on whether it will work. I have set up a few and I believe it would work but I cannot get enthusiastically behind the idea on your model. Rarely stops people, however.

Yes it has a mini-pcie slot but its occupied by the wireless card. Here is the Service Manual:

Generally you would remove the wireless card and insert the eGPU dongle and also remove the DVD drive and thread the eGPU dongle through the hole that leaves as you put the bottom cover back on. Seems like a lot to go through every time you want to hook up the eGPU. The only systems that reliably can run an eGPU with good effect are models with a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port. Yours is too old to have that. It may be possible to hook up an eGPU and get it working but I foresee disappointment.

The laptop would be stationary so I will just the leave the GPU connected. The thing I want to know is if I can install the drivers for the GPU on the laptop and it working. Thanks for replying
