Hey there,

 

A while ago i unplugged my HDD for cleaning reasons. During this event, the black bracket on top of the CN1700 port fell off and got lost. Since my laptop has another port (CN1701) i just plugged the HDD into it and it worked just fine.

Now i want to install another drive (SSD). This however is not being recognized by the system (i assume because of the missing bracket). Does this bracket have a specific name or part Number under which i can search for replacements?

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue, and in order to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now,

 

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest youContact HPin your region regarding the service options for your computer. 

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Thank you for the service manual, this was somewhat helpful already.

I don't need the cable though.

What i am looking for is shown on page 49. I mean the white bracket mounted on top of the black box (which is soldered to the circuit board). I lost that white bracket and need a replacement for it.
