Product: HP EliteBook 8760w
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I need to replace or re-flash the corrupted BIOS chip on an EliteBook 8760w. The BIOS was corrupted and the laptop will not power on at all so the Win+B key combination doesn't work. Where is the BIOS chip located on the motherboard? I think that it may be the 8-pin chip located near the external battery port and memory slots on the bottom of the laptop (as seen in the picture) but I am not certain.
8760w BIOS Chip?
The numbers on that chip start with MXIC MX25L64046E. If this is not the BIOS chip, could someone please post a photo that clearly indicates the actual location of the BIOS chip on the motherboard/ Thank you very much.
