Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Laptop 14 cf1xxx and the power adapter does not say if it is dual voltage.

@delicatexan

You can use nearly all notebooks around household electrical voltages around the world. You can turn your charger up-side-down to see that. Very hard to read but the information is there.

Regards.

As Banhien said, same adapter is used across the world. You just need a different cord part for your country.

The cord that came with the recharging black "box" says "125V-"  The back of this black "box" is full of data written in white.  I took a picture of this and enlarged it so I could read if there was any indication of dual voltage and there was none.  So I am still unsure about whether my HP Laptop 14-cf1xxx is an exception to "nearly all notebooks" having dual voltage.

Ok then, you'll have to look at the service manual here- http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06146792.pdf  starting on page 24 to figure out which AC adapter you have to get specifications. You'll see a 45W version and a 65W version, and a list of all the power cords available to fit the adapter.

The presence of all the different power cords tells us it is a dual voltage adapter.

Thank you again for your reply.  Unfortunately, I had already researched the product manual and the page you referenced listed a number of power cord numbers, none of which match my 3-prong black power cord that says "125V-"  Even if I knew which power cord to order to replace the one I had, it seems like it would be simpler to use a power converter with my laptop whenever I recharge it in Europe.  I do not want to fry my laptop if it does not work in Europe without a power converter. My question seems so simple and universal to travelers to Europe who have a small HP 14 laptop for travel.  I simply do not understand why there is no clear answer to this universal question.  HP says my computer is out of warranty so they won't talk to me.

Look closer on the label there's a line that says (Input) 100-240V 1.1A. That means it will accept 100 to 240 volts and draws 1.1 amps. A US power cord will deliver 125V and a Euro one will deliver 240V, the adapter will covert either to 19.5 volts for your laptop.

I have blown up the label and painstakingly looked at every line on the power adapter.  There is NO reference to Input 100-240V.  So I would have to order a Euro power cord to replace the one I have?  Wouldn't it be simpler to use a power converter accessory from 240 to 125 when I recharge my laptop in Europe?

Sorry you're having so much trouble on this issue. Perhaps it would be better to use a converter barring clear evidence of dual voltage. Can you post the picture of the adapter?

I hope you can find something on the writing on this adapter that is useful. Thanks
