Hello!

2 questions for laptop HP Omen 16-WF0002LA

As far as i know this computer doesn't have the possibility to dock with some HP dock station is that correct?

Is there any good alternative that HP can recommend?

Thanks.

Cris.

Hi, Cris:

According to the parts list for your notebook, the power adapter tip that plugs into your notebook's power connector is 4.5mm.

HP PartSurfer

M95376-001
AC ADPTR 280W PFC SMART 3PIN 4.5mm

As far as how you connect the dock, that I do not know.

I assume the one connector goes to the USB-C Thunderbolt port and the power connector goes to your notebook's power connector.

Hi, Cris:

According to the accessory information on the 16t-wf100 sales page there is a compatible dock, but it is very expensive at $349 USD.

There seem to be other docking accessories in general:

Hi Paul

It seems that the model I need to supply enough power to my laptop is HP Thunderbolt Dock 280W G4 w/Combo Cable

cr1sx_0-1726039807015.png

So one connection goes to the power connector and the other to one of the two USB C ports on the laptop?

the DataSheet document say " With two power options (120W/280W) from one cable, you can power mainstream and high performance PCs alike with just one cable/dock." - GetDocument.aspx (hp.com)

So in my case should I need to connect both USB C and power cables to supply power?

can you please confirm if the power connector of this dock with combo cable have is 4.5 mm?

Hi Paul 🙂

I finally bought the dock, peripherals works fine. and also is capable to provide power charge to the laptop.

But when I connect my monitors, it gives me errors and the laptop freezes also in one occasion I get a blue screen. I updated the dock drivers but it doesn't solve anything.

My monitors are:

* 49” G93SC Odyssey OLED G9 DQHD 240Hz 49" Odyssey OLED G93SC DQHD 0.03ms(GtG) 240Hz HDR True Black 400 FreeSync Premium Pro Curved Gaming ...

* Optix MAG301CR2 MSI Optix MAG301CR2 30 Inch Curved Gaming Monitor - 21:9 UltraWide Full HD (2560 x 1080), 1ms Respon...

any idea?

I also tried connecting only 1 monitor and it also gives problems, but when connecting directly to the laptop's HDMI and the other monitor via USB C with an adapter it works fine, for some reason when I put the dockstation in the middle it creates failures.

regards!

Cris.

Hi, Cris:

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know why you are having those issues with the HP dock, and I recommend you start a new discussion or contact HP customer service because I assume the dock is under warranty.

I assume you have read the setup instructions and user guide?

HP Thunderbolt Dock 280W G4 w/Combo Cable - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support

I have never used any kind of docking station before, so I am not familiar with how they work.

I hope you can get the issues resolved.

Cheers,

Paul
