Product: HP Spectre x360 - 13-w023dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Spectre Battery will not recharge unless I hard reset the computer. The battery level stays at the same level when I plug in the computer. I have updated the BIOS and have tried reinstalling the driver. Any idea why that is happening?

Hello.

 

Your laptop is 6-7 years old - perhaps the battery is in bad shape? HP Support Assistant has a battery check showing the battery status. What does it report?

 

Are you using the power supply that came with the laptop?

HP Support Assistant battery status says it will need to be recalibrated. I will try that.
