HP Spectre x360 - 13-4002dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My Laptop has all of a sudden developed a problem where it does not power up at all. I have tried two different power leads both of which when plugged in cause a white LED by the power input to light up, but when I press the on button on the laptop all that happens is the button flashes white after a few seconds and then nothing, no fan or beep or any sign of life from the PC. This happens with and without the power lead connected. Please can anyone help, thanks.

Thanks for your help. I have tried holding down the power button for a hard reset but this has no effect on the behaviour of the system. When I press the on button all that happens is the on button flashes white once after several seconds then nothing. Please could you advise what would be the best way to procede, many thanks

@TB1231,

I recommend you contact support as it looks like a hardware issue.

Thanks for your help. Looking around the local community forum there is a very regular problem with the motherboard of this laptop and it seems likely this is the same problem. A bit disappointing that I paid high end money for a laptop which seems to have a design fault and after a few years of limited use it has died.

Thanks for your help but they offered no solution other than pay someone else to repair it. I very much doubt I will ever buy from HP again.
