My two year old Spectre x360 laptop has the same design flaw with the charging ports which so many other customers have reported here. The main port not longer works at all. The smaller one on the right upper corner barely works and has the same flicker off/on issue many others have reported.
This issue began at the two year mark of ownership. A laptop charger does not have a limited lifespan of two years. How do I get my laptop authorized for repair at HP cost? I will send it wherever required for HP to make this right. Please advise

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
This seems like a hardware issue with the laptop, to fix this issue your computer needs to be repaired.

Hi Echo_Lake,
Thanks for offering this info but it does not work. My laptop is out of warranty (I purchased in Feb 2020. On auot0detect HP website lists expiration in October 2020?). Because it is out of warranty, the only phone option is the BUY support for out of warranty devices. This is not a solution.
I brought my laptop to a local repair shop. The problem with the device is a design flaw of the charging ports themselves. Additionally, they are attached to the motherboard. The charging port teeth are broken beyond repair, the parts are unobtainable - rendering this two-year-old $1,000 device useless if it cannot reliably hold a charge.
The laptop needs to a have a new motherboard replacement because the charging ports are part of the motherboard itself. I am requesting the repair cost is covered by HP due to the known design flaw, as evidenced by the numerous consumers like me who have incurred this problem on this model in less than 2-3 years usage.
If you can private message a direct contact number, that would be greatly appreciated.
