Hello,

I finally upgraded my laptop RAM with 2x32GB DDR5 RAM from Crucial (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/SOLVED-Maximum-upgrade-options....

BIOS is now reporting 0MB and startup takes much longer than previously, but the laptop still boots up and the OS reports the correct amount of RAM (64GB). I am aware that this is considered a bug (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Notebooks/Brand-new-Omen-17-2022-laptop-shows-total-memory-0-af....

How can this be solved? My laptop BIOS is version F.07.

 Hello again Pxcandeias,.

You're absolutely right. Other HP models have shown DDR5 "infancy" bugs, especially when upgrading (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Notebooks/Ram-and-ssd-upgrade/m-p/8447473#M49081).

There is a new BIOS version available, but I WARN you to use it at your own risk, since there have (already) been problems associated with it:

BIOS Update VERSION: F.10 REV: A PASS: 1 DATE: September 16, 2022

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Wrong-Bios-Version/td-p/8493666

You can try updating your BIOS (since you have Linux on, you'll have to do it with a USB stick or through the UEFI menu if this option exists) OR wait for a BIOS update that specifically addresses the RAM issue.....
