I had to return 2 HP ZBook Ultra 14 G1a units due to repeated BSOD or restarts without warning.
I would be interested to hear positive or negative reliability experiences from other HP ZBook Ultra 14 G1a owners.
I want to know if I was just unlucky before considering buying a third unit.
I had the AMD Max Pro 390 version.

No more issues. I made some small changes in the beginning to Windows but the last bios update from HP seems to have fixed the problem. The only thing that I miss on the new bios is a 24GB setting for the GPU memory. It jumps from 16GB-32GB but that must have been part of the problem. Fast and stable now. Superb.

I don't notice the fans when the laptop is running light loads. It is on an aluminium stand with plenty of room for airflow. The most recent update seems to have helped as well. The only bug is that Window Hello stopped working with the camera. I use the fingerprint reader anyway so that is not much of a problem.

We have it with the 385 chipset and 32GB. It freezes every so often and either restarts after a while or if you do it manually.
Often in [light] video (16GB for Video). Investigating drivers etc.
It also occasionally get hot when not busy and runs the fan(s) up, but most of the time it is cool and quiet.
