Hello everyone, I have a problem with my computer's information. It displays the message "Product Information not valid." I used the NbDmiFit-2.10 tool to rewrite it, but it didn't work. My computer name is HP EliteBook Revolve 810 G1, and the "Commit Only" option in the tool is disabled. I tried injecting the SMC.bin file via USB, but the computer didn't respond. This text appears on the screen. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

Hello Adem57373442747,

Thank you for posting your concern,

Resolving "Product Information Not Valid" on HP EliteBook Revolve 810 G1

When encountering the "Product Information Not Valid" error, it usually indicates an issue with the system's BIOS settings related to the system’s product name, serial number, or SKU. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

  1. Verify NbDmiFit Version:

    • Ensure you are using the correct version of the NbDmiFit utility specific to your HP model. Sometimes different versions of the tool are required for different HP models.
  2. Using the Tool Correctly:

    • Ensure that you are following the precise procedure for your specific model to reset the DMI information. Make sure to input the correct details for the product name, serial number, SKU, etc.
  3. Contact HP Support for SMC.bin File:

    • SMC.bin files are specific to HP devices and generally provided by HP support. You must request the correct SMC.bin file from HP Support to ensure it matches your device.
    • Follow the steps provided with the SMC.bin file carefully, as the process may vary by model.
  4. Factory Reset BIOS:

    • Try resetting the BIOS settings to the default factory settings.
    • Access BIOS by pressing F10 during boot and navigate to 'Reset to Factory Settings'. Save changes and reboot.
  5. Perform a BIOS Update:

    • Check if there are any BIOS updates available for your EliteBook Revolve 810 G1 on the HP Support website. Updating the BIOS can sometimes resolve mismatched or incorrect DMI information.
  6. Contact HP Support:

    • If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it would be best to contact HP Support directly. They can provide specific guidance or service options suitable for your device.

These steps aim to help you restore the correct product information. If you continue to experience issues, HP Support should be able to provide further assistance.
