Product: HP 24f 24-inch Display

My hp24f monitor is connected to my ASUS laptop running windows 11 with an i7 processor using an HDMI cable. The display is showing what's on the laptop only, I am not extending or duplicating the laptop as I have to close the laptop screen when connected to the hp monitor. Recently, the display has been staggering pixelated lines making everything appear as though it has a shadow above it. I've changed the refresh rate and this sometimes works, though now it's stuck with this staggered display.
