Its not going to be PCI Express we would have to trial and error adapters from another model but at best you would have a SATA interface for your M.2 and a normal SATA SSD performs just as well and we would not need to find any special hardware to connect it. Not sure why you are dead set on an M.2 unless maybe you have already purchased one and want to try to use it.
Your last resort is actually your best option.
