How do I upgrade storage on my HP Stream 14. I have no files saved to my hard drive and it says I only have 471MB free. I need to install zoom and other apps to make the laptop useable. I can't even update my laptop since there is no store age available. I can access my files off an external hard drive but I cannot use the storage on the laptop hard drive for anything. Is it possible to run the operating system off a usb or sd card? Can anyone help.

What is your machine ? It should be very close to the following machine
which shows it has 64 GB eMMC (embedded MultiMediaCard) which is integrated to its system board. You can not upgrade. It has 1 multi-format SD media card reader, you can use this slot for 1TB of SDXC card.
Regards.

You have identified a serious problem with these devices. The storage is a chip (eMMC module) soldered to the motherboard and defies any effort to upgrade. And you have to run the OS off that internal eMMC disk. You can add storage for Libraries (docs, music, pics, etc.) with an sd card but apps even have to be installed onto the eMMC. I had a Knowledge Base article here a few years ago explaining how to minimize the footprint of the OS but no matter what you do its a struggle. I have one of these with a 32 gig eMMC and I installed Linux on it. Not the solution for everyone I know but works pretty well.
