HP Pro Pen G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My two sons have been using HP Pro Pens with their school-issued HP ProBook x360 435 devices for a year now and it's never been the greatest product, the pen has often caused issues, skipping or working intermittently even after reboots, nib changes and fresh battery changes.  It's very disruptive to their learning when the pens don't work as they are supposed to, I wish schools would just stick to ink and paper, but that's a different issue!

However, it's got so bad now that we're wondering whether it would be better to buy a different pen.  Some of his classmates are using an HP Active Pen instead (I think, looking at the photos ... https://www.hp.com/gb-en/shop/list.aspx?sel=ACC) and are not reporting any issues.  I see that it is more expensive, but apart from that what is different between the Pro Pen and the Active Pen and can I be sure that the Active Pen will be any better?
