Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I previously asked a question about compatibility of my Spectre 16-f1000 with the Seagate Firecuda 4TB SSD.  All responses were it is compatible, and in fact I do have it installed currently and it is working find (or as far as I can tell).

Questions:

1.  In order to install it, because it is double-sided, I had to remove the metal "casing" that surrounded the stock SSD -- both the metal cover (heatshield?) and the metal "base" that the stock SSD sat on.  So, the Firecuda is sitting directly on the motherboard itself, not on the metal piece between the motherboard and SSD in the stock configuration.  Is this ok?

2.  I'm sure some are going to comment on temperatures -- I'm a novice here -- what temps should I be monitoring, how do I access them (is there a built in utility or thid party app), and what are the acceptable ranges?

3.  What would be the best software to use to confirm the Firecuda is working as advertised?  The Seagate diagnostic utilities all "pass" but I want to see whether it is in fact working at Gen 4 speeds and working reliably.

Thank you,

Kevin

@KevinB5

I always say: "due to PHYSICAL single sided please keep it to 2TB. Some vendors now can squeeze 4TB on SINGLE SIDED M.2 SSD's. Please check before buy".

Thank you.  I have been unable to find any 4TB single sided SSDs.   Could you direct me?
