Product: notebook 15-ay516tx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought an ssd along with caddy, installed ssd in place of hdd and placed hdd in caddy but hdd is not detected in windows but ssd in caddy works just fine. also windows boots very slow when both drives are placed in. i deleted every partition in hdd using bootable usb and created only one but still not getting detected. pls help me and i dont want to use ssd in caddy as the speed sucks in sata 2

If the SDD caddy connects to the former optical drive connection, then you made a serious mistake in doing this.  That connection is a low speed one, designed only for optical drives.  Connecting any HDD or SDD to such a connection is a waste of your time and money.  Plus, HP does not provide technical support for faults with add-ons like this.

should i just throw away my internal hdd and get a 1TB  ssd then
