Hello HP Community,

I hope you’re doing well.
I would like to know if the RAM shown in the attached image (HIKSEMI DDR4 16GB 3200MHz SODIMM) is fully compatible with the HP EliteBook 830 G6.

My plan is to install two pieces (2 × 16GB) for a total of 32GB RAM.

Could you please confirm:

  1. Is this specific DDR4 16GB 3200MHz SODIMM module supported by the EliteBook 830 G6?

  2. Can the laptop run stable with 32GB using two 16GB sticks?

  3. Will the RAM automatically downclock to the supported speed if needed?

Hi:

 

Your picture was rejected for some reason, but if the memory is DDR4-3200 CL22, then it should work, but no one here can tell you with 100% certainty that it is guaranteed to work.

 

The processors that came in the model series run the memory at a maximum speed of 2400 MHz, so the DDR4-3200 memory will automatically bridge to 2400MHz.
