Hi,

i can change and save the timeout of the keyboard backlight in the UEFI, but it always goes off after 30 seconds. Only when I briefly switch to standby does it work as set, both in Win11 and Manjaro Linux.

UEFI-Bug??

No.

Unfortunately it has been an intentional part of the BIOS coding for about a decade.

There are many of us who do not like having to tap the keyboard to keep the backlighting on, so do not feel alone.

Have you tried my "workaround" with standby?

Perhaps this works. 1-2 seconds are enough.

No, I have not, but thanks for the workaround.

I never the timeout to be enough of a distraction to keep me from working or browsing the internet.
