HP Elitebook 840 g5

Hi,

I'm running Windows 10 Enterprise on a HP Elitebook 840 g5 and can't get some keyboard shortcuts to work that I'm used to. This applies to the laptop keyboard as well as to external keyboards (I'm using one from HP as well).

What does not work is marking text using ctrl + shift + pagedown / pageup / pos1 / end, this is not tied to a certain software, it doesn't work anywhere (e.g. Notepad++, Firefox, Word, etc.). "Doesn't work" means: Nothing happens, the cursor is stuck just as if I didn't press any key at all.

What does work is e.g. ctrl + shift + arrow left /right to mark the previous / next word or ctrl + shift + arrow up / down to mark the previous / next paragraph, also ctrl + shift + pos1 / end to mark to the start / end of a line, so it's not that the combination of ctrl and shift would not work at all, I'm just missing the mentioned shortcuts to mark text from the cursor position a page up / down or from there to the start / end of the document.

I've done extensive search and I know these shortcuts aren't listed here: https://support.hp.com/nz-en/document/c02951398 but on every other computer that I've worked with, they do work, so my question is if the shortcuts are just not available with my Elitebook, if there's a hidden setting or a driver update necessary to activate them.

Any hint is appreciated.

Figured it out: turned out that Opera was messing with keyboard shortcuts.
