Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop shows memory module error signal (Caps lock beeps three times) whenever I start. This happens only when I have moved the laptop. This doesn't happen if the laptop hasn't been moved from its position during its previous run cycle. I usually fix this by resetting the memory module. But this time its not picking up both modules. I have checked both the slots and the modules intermittently both are working fine.

The only issue is why it happens only when if the laptop has been moved from its place. This never happens if the laptop hasn't been lifted or moved or have encountered any type pf movement during its run cycle.

Please suggest what could be the possible issue. Any leads would be appreciated.

This sometimes happens when the laptop has been flexed or impacted. The motherboard can have small cracks or dislocations in the circuitry so that everything is only connected correctly when it is set "just so". I have seen this happen frequently on laptops where the user habitually picks up the laptop by a corner and carries it around that way. Seems to do it more the bigger the laptop. Not saying that is what has happened to yours but whenever you get intermittent hardware failures it is likely a problem with the motherboard. Beep and light error codes will be unreliable.

It would generally mean replacement of the motherboard.
