Hi @MartinaKoog22,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Omnibook powers on with the fan running, but the system does not start or display anything. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Perform a hard reset
Power off the laptop and disconnect the charger and all external devices.
Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds, then reconnect only the charger and try powering it on.

Check for display output
Power on the laptop and observe if the Caps Lock or Num Lock LEDs blink or respond.
If possible, connect an external monitor to check whether the system is booting without showing on the internal screen.

Drain residual power and retry startup
Turn the laptop off again and unplug the charger.
Leave the system powered off for 10 minutes, then reconnect the charger and try starting it.

Attempt BIOS access
Power on the laptop and immediately tap F10 repeatedly.
If the BIOS screen appears, the issue may be related to Windows or startup configuration.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
Restart the system and press F2 repeatedly to open HP UEFI Hardware Diagnostics.
Run the system board and memory tests to check if the hardware initializes correctly.

Observe fan behavior and heat
If the fan runs continuously at high speed with no display or boot activity, this usually indicates the system is failing to complete hardware initialization.
This behavior often points to a system board, BIOS, or firmware-level issue rather than Windows.

I hope this helps.
