my original issue was just that my CAPS LOCK when pressed froze my keyboard and i couldn't use it...But now something stranger has happened to my laptop.
When i press the letters N, B , = and Caps Lock...i get the following results.
N - n67
B - b54
= - =-0
caps- `1
A b54asic Sen67ten67ce Would look just like this when67 it was written67 out.
I have no idea how to fix this, i've ran diagnostic tests, i've ran several virus scans, contacted support, Its not to do with the language. I haven't dropped or spilled anything on my laptop and i haven't had issues with it until now, the laptop is barely 4 months old...i've considered remapping the keys...but i just don't know if that will fix this issue.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you uninstall the keyboard driver from device manager and then restart the computer and check if it helps.
Here is how it is done.
- Start Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Device Manager.
- Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
- On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
- When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.
NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
If you continue facing the issue, I recommend you perform a system restore back to the date when the keyboard was working fine.
Follow the steps in the below article to perform a system restore.
