Pavilion won't turn on, no charging light

My Pavilion 15-cx0056wm Laptop has stopped powering on and the charging light does not turn on when plugged in. When it first occurred, I was using it to play a game and it shut off by itself. I have already tried two different replacement power adapter cords with the correct wattage, etc and they are not working. I have had my Pavilion for a little over 1 year.

Another incident occurred about 3 weeks ago when there was a popping noise and it turned off suddenly. It was not working for about an hour before I checked the adapter and realized the plug had come loose from the brick part. After plugging it back in correctly, the laptop then worked for another 3 weeks before this more recent shutdown. Now it will not come back on at all.

What might my repair options be? I am fairly competent technically and should be able to do some internal work on it if necessary. Should I try replacing the battery? Are there any other things I might try on my own? Should I take it to a local computer repair shop? Or should I send it back to HP for repairs?

I have some schoolwork for college classes on the computer so I need to resolve this soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that the HP Pavilion 15-cx0056wm Laptop will not turn on.

As you have stated that you have already tried with a different adapter.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
