I have a HP EliteBook 1040 G4 i7 14" FHD Laptop with 16GB RAM. Can I upgrade this to 32GB RAM?

According to chapter 1, the memory is soldered to the motherboard and is not upgradable.

 

If you look at chapter 3, page 41 of the service manual, HP only offered a maximum of 16 GB of memory in that model series.
