Hi @Idk123_,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding RAM speed limitation on the OMEN 25L Desktop PC GT11-1000i/GT12-1000i!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Unfortunately, certain models of the OMEN 25L Desktop PC do not support manual RAM overclocking through the OMEN Gaming Hub due to system restrictions. Here are the steps you can follow to check and potentially adjust the RAM speed settings:
Check BIOS Settings:
- Restart your computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings. You can usually access the BIOS by pressing a specific key such as F2, F10, DEL, or ESC during the boot-up process.
- Look for memory or RAM settings in the BIOS menu. If available, you may be able to change the RAM speed settings here.
Enable XMP Profiles:
- If your RAM supports Intel’s Extreme Memory Profile (XMP), enable it in the BIOS.
- XMP profiles adjust voltage and timing settings to support higher RAM speeds.
Update BIOS Firmware:
- Ensure your BIOS is updated to the latest version. Sometimes, newer BIOS versions can provide additional features or improvements.
- You can find BIOS updates on the HP support website.
Check Compatibility:
- Verify that the RAM installed is compatible with your system and that it supports higher speeds. Some systems might automatically default to lower speeds if compatibility issues are detected.
Using Different Slots:
- Try swapping the RAM modules between different slots to ensure they are seated correctly and are recognized by the system.
While these measures may help, please note that manual overclocking capabilities might still be limited by the hardware and firmware configurations of your system.
I hope this helps.
