Replacement battery

I am trying to figure out what replacement battery I need for my laptop. I have found a few on Amazon but don't know which is the right one. The one I ordered said is was compatible with the 17 but did not fit.

From the Maintenance & Service guide for your notebook

Battery (4-cell, 41 WHr, 2.8-AHr, Li-ion)    HP p/n 800049-005   is the correct part number.

Neither of the batteries you have on the initial post will work.

There are many batteries on the following page at amazon that will work. Make certain that the HP part number is listed in the advertisement before purchasing.

No. It has to be HP p/n 8000049-005
