HP 255 G8 Notebook PC (347S5AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I have a NB G8 255 with Ryzen 7 and Win 10 64bit.

I upgraded it to 32Gb RAM and 1Tb M2 SSD Hard disk.

I'd like to use my "old" SSD M2 hard disk, but I don't want to use an external USB case: I'd like to dock it inside.

Is there any way to connect it to the mainboard? Something like a double socket?

Thank you in advance

Alberto

No ! You may be able to install (add) 2.5" HDD or SSD inside but not another M.2 drive

According to your Service Guide http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06954466.pdf   There is a second drive port which is SATA 3. So no, there isn't 2 m.2 slots to reuse the old nvme drive.

Also on page 18 it lists the parts you would need, cable and bracket to use a SATA drive. If your laptop did not come with a second drive, those parts aren't included.
