Casing for my Z Book has been becoming progressively more broken and I can't take it anymore. I've had the laptop for about 5 years and still get good use out of it but about a year and a half ago the screen started coming away from the rest. I figured out that one of the hinges was much tighter than the other and was creating pressure on the plastic case. I found this out too late and most of the screws had torn out from the top case so there was no saving it. I've carried on using the laptop but it's going too far, propping up the screen with books and opening it up from the hinges.

I lost a whole memory card taking an old laptop to a shop to get fixed so I am really wary about asking someone to look at it for me. Because of this I looked into getting a hp engineer to fix it but they were going to charge over 600 for the call out and "diagnostic" before. Totally sure it's just the casing I need so I think I'll just do it myself.

So, can someone point me in the direction of reliable spare parts for the Z Book?

Also is there anything that can go very wrong while I do this? As far as I can see it's taking the outer pieces off and putting new bits on so don't see how it can go wrong.

Thanks
