I have been looking at the forums and reading about the issues with the motherboard for over a month now. I have been on the phone with HP about it and took it into a specialist and they told me the same thing I expected. Motherboard needs to be replaced.

This laptop was working perfectly fine and then the next day it won't turn on or show any signs of life. After reading more into it here on the support forums, it looks like this problem has been dealt with in the past.

I just got off the phone with them and HP as a company would not stand behind their products AT ALL. Instead the tried to send me to the sales department to buy a new one. LAST THING I'M GOING TO DO IS SPEND MONEY ON AN HP NOW. This is a noted solution in which they have helped other people get solutions for and they try to get me to just buy something else! If someone can help me get this taken care and re-instill some faith in HP that would be fantastic. I have had no luck dealing with people on the phone support.
