Hellow Everyone. I am having ans HP ENVY 13 - AD173cl laptop with the following specs. 8th Gen Ci7 16GB 512GB SSD 2-GB NVIDIA GeForce MX150 13.3. I am a developer and i am a brand loyal customer of hp. I have been using different models of hp since last 10 years. This time i am using hp Envy 13 and working on a project of a client website and it's a wordpress site with Genesis theme installed on it. The issue i am facing is with the touchpad of my envy. I am creating schedule table and you know that requires extreme use of touchpad. My touchpad gets stick inbetween. Many times it happens that my hardwork gets waisted due to sticking of the notepad. Would anyone help me of the sol?

I see from your post that you're having issues with the touchpad not working properly on your HP notebook. Don't worry we'll work together to help you find a solution.

 

I would suggest here is to Run Windows Updates troubleshooter -

 

Download and install the troubleshooter from this link.

 

Now try to perform a Windows update:

 

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates. 

2) Check for updates. 

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

 

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

 

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

 

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

    Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

     Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

 

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available.
