I have been troubleshooting my laptop for several days now trying to get my  touchpad mouse to work again. I believe it may have been screwed with when I was trying to get my computer to sync properly with my classroom's Smart board. (that didn't work well either). I uninstalled everything, and I've even performed a system restore and a reset. Still no mouse. I have followed the steps of just about every troubleshooting forum I've seen.. The main issue is that the there is not even a list for the touchpad or mouse in the device manager. It's as if the computer no longer recognizes the device? I'm not entirely sure. I have reinstalled the drivers, restarted the computer several times. still nothing. any ideas on how or why my device manager may not be showing any touchpad? I've added a few pictures for reference.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I see that your experiencing touchpad issue, I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.

As you've performed relevant troubleshooting steps and the issue persists, this sounds like software driver related issue.
Windows 10 has a reset feature that repairs your computer by reinstalling the operating system. let's reinstall the windows operating system to isolate the issue.
