Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Edit: HDMI started working again after downloading and installing some other drivers and the NVIDIA graphics card did show up in Device Manager. USB-C still not solvedThe drivers I installed are "sp79736.exe", "sp88073.exe" and "sp88069.exe" and then rebooted after each one. This solved the HDMI. I made everything HDMI related spoiler and strikethrough.

Spoiler
I have 2 very annoying problems: both my HDMI port and USB-C port suddenly stopped working. Earlier today, they still worked, but now they don't.

I have a very annoying problem: my USB-C port suddenly stopped working. Earlier today it still worked. All of my USB-A ports all still work. (and I need that port too: I have a USB-C to multiple USB-A 3.0 splitter, becauseI  often need external mouse, keyboard, USB stick, hard drive, and headset with USB connection, so that's too much for only 3 USB ports)

My computer is already out of warranty but I always updated the drivers, so I always had the latest. I don't know why it suddenly stopped working.

I already tried these steps:

  1. Other USB-C cables on my laptop and then the same cables on other devices. Nothing works on my laptop, but on the other devices it works like a charm.
  2. Reboot
    • Start menu > Power > Restart
    • Start menu > Power > Shut down
    • power back on
  3. Windows Update
  4. Steps 1-3 again
  5. Go to Device Manager > delete all USB items > right click on my PC name (in Device manager) and select "Scan for hardware changes" > both reboot methods mentioned in step 3
  6. steps 1-3 again
  7. Download and install every single driver from the support.hp.com site (every single driver that's relevant for my machine of course: no AMD drivers because I have Intel, and always the newest drivers if there are multiple versions)

Spoiler
with trying to install the Graphics drivers again, I constantly get the error that there isn't an NVIDIA graphical card inside my machine and it doesn't appear in Device Manager. There should be an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and an Intel one, but only the Intel one shows up. The NVIDIA installers throw the error that the graphics card isn't installed. Maybe this is the cause of the HDMI not working?
