My laptop does not have a backlit keyboard. I want to upgrade it now. Now I want to put backlit keyboard on my laptop. How did I do this?

Hi,
It should be possible. It is going to be expensive and complicated as you need to dismantle the whole notebook. You will also need to find the correct part which will be easier with let's say US keyboards than other countries.
First, you should check if the small slot for the backlight flat cable is there. I believe it is
Then you will need to find the top cover with correct keyboard layout for your country. Starting on page 17 you can see the various colour top covers with the keyboard layout.
For example, Silver USA keyboard has part number 926859-001
I can try to find the part by searching online or HP parts store which can be difficult to find and will cost a lot
You will then need to remove all the parts from old top cover and place into the new top cover
You can follow the steps for removing system board and then work on from there (page 52 of the service manual)

if you get it done in a service centre, probably cost near to a new computer.
