Hi Guys!

I want to upgrade my laptop's RAM; the Laptop model is an HP Pavillion 15-n011tu.

CPU - Core i5 - 4200u (1.6Ghz)

RAM - 4GB [2 Slots DDR3 1600Mhz]

 

According to Intel CPU specification this CPU support up to 16GB of RAM, and I want to upgrade, so please help me, should I purchase 2x8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM for this laptop.

Hi:

 

Yes, your notebook will support 2 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory.

 

The 12 GB max indicated in Chapter 1 of the service manual is incorrect.

If a notebook has two memory slots and one slot can support 8 GB of memory, so can the second one.
