Since posting, I have found out that I'm referring to "Flex Port" and its ability to adapt to differing I/O.

My ProDesk "appears" to be capable of having the Video Adapter on the Rear of the PC "upgraded".

Currently, the Video Adapter that is installed is not what I would like.

The majority of my Monitors are the old style RGB / VGA style, the Big Blue Plug style.

I'd like to swap out the current Video Adapter for the old style Video Adapter.

Can a Forum Member direct me to the correct Product Number for this Video Adapter?

Additionally, where can I purchase this Video Adapter?

Best regards,

Mike Lynch

PS The Flex Port may also be referred to as the Option Board or the Combo Module.

From the Manual " (6) Optional rear port (HDMI, VGA, DP or USB-C port)"

Can you do it again?

I'd like the same style replacement adapter but USB3 Style.

Does it exist?

@Mike-Lynch,

Yes, as far as I was able to ascertain, the HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF can accommodate a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C module, and p/n: L07094-001 / L25753-001 / L31845-001 / L07094-001 module would be a suitable replacement for the original VGA adapter.

Recommended Replacement: L07094-001 / L25753-001:

This module is designed for the HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF and offers:

  • 10 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port: Provides high-speed data transfer.

  • DisplayPort 1.4 support: Allows for video output via USB-C.

  • 15W power delivery: Enables charging of connected devices.

It is compatible with the HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF, as confirmed by various listings and specifications, such as this listing: HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF CHAGALL USB-C Gen2 data transfer option card L07094-001 L25753-001 4KY84AA [....

Purchase Option:

You can purchase the L07094-001 / L25753-001 module via a trusted, top-rated eBay Seller for $12.98: HP USB-C Module data transfer Option Card Chagall L25753-001 L07094-001 4KY84AA | eBay.

Installation Considerations:

Ensure that your HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF has the necessary Flex I/O slot for this module. Installation typically involves:

  1. Powering off and unplugging the PC.

  2. Opening the chassis to access the motherboard.

  3. Locating the Flex I/O slot.

  4. Inserting the new module into the slot.

  5. Securing the module and reassembling the chassis.

  6. Powering on the PC and verifying functionality.

Kind Regards,
