HP Notebook - 15-dw0012na
Microsoft Windows 10 IOT

Hi, I was wondering if any of you knew what type of battery my laptop took and if so, where I could buy a replacement from?

My laptop is the HP 15-dw0012na and I’ve had it around 2 years with regular usage (uni work etc.)

Recently, on start up, I get a message saying something along the lines of “your battery health is very low, this could be due to low operational temperatures or prolonged usage, please contact help support for further guidance.”

By looking around, I think I need a “3-cell, 41 Wh Li-ion” Battery but I can’t seem to find that specific one online anywhere, if that’s even the right one!

Any help on battery identification would be much appreciated!

thanks,

Chris.

Here is your Service Manual http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06941101.pdf   It calls for an HP part L11119-855, Use that to search HP PartSurfer, google it for resellers, Amazon or eBay are other options.

Try and get a HP part, the age of the laptop may leave you with no other option than a generic replacement battery, but they are less in price. Read reviews of the product if you want to go generic. There are some good ones, and some not so good ones.

The service manual shows how to replace the battery if you are up to the task. You also want to purchase an inexpensive cell phone repair kit to use to separate the bottom cover from the top. Using a small screwdriver or pocket knife risks marring the two.

If you need more help, just ask.
