Hi:

The same motherboards are used in the model series.

The only difference is the processors and graphics that come with the specific motherboard.

Even the Crucial memory report for your specific model notebook indicates you can install up to a 2 TB NVMe M.2 SSD.

Hi:

I see absolutely no reason why you can't install a 500 GB, 512 GB or even a 1 TB NVMe SSD in your notebook to replace the 128 GB drive.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook's model series.

If you look at chapter 1, page 2 HP even offered 512 GB NVMe SSD's in some 15-dk0XXX models.

You're very welcome.

You should be able to use the HP cloud recovery tool to reinstall the original OS & software onto the larger SSD.

See this link for how to use the cloud recovery tool.

You can see if your PC is supported by the cloud recovery tool at the link below.

I haven't place an SSD before. Do you think this Crucial brand SSD fits the slot exactly? I will buy according to your answer

That is exactly what you need.

...or this one.  It has faster read/write speeds than the P2, but it is $20 USD more.

I got ssd 500 gb but I forgot to say something. I also have a 1tb hard disk 5400 rpm besides this,Probably this real problem, according to hp representative. Can you say something about it.

HP Recommended

You had the same configuration with a smaller SSD, so I don't see what difference it would make if you installed a larger capacity M.2 SSD.

It should have no effect on the 2.5" hard drive that was working fine with the 128 GB SSD.
