Is it okay if my laptop stays plugged in all the time? asking if i have a lithium battery because apparently if I do then I can keep it plugged in.

Hello,

You haven't mentioned your laptop model and specs but 99.999% you have a lithium based battery.

It is not a good idea to keep the laptop with its battery all the time and always ON connected to the AC power.

You should charge the device and disconnect it when not needed. Of course nothing bad will happen if you occasionally keep it charged overnight, for a long period of hours/few days but I would not recommend you do it all the times and permanently.

You may also check this article (it is for smartphones but it is similar with laptops) >> https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/04/smarter-living/phone-charging-advice.html
