HP Pavilion Notebook PC

It's Windows 10. I didn't realized there were 4 different kinds of Windows 10 and I'm not sure which one it is. My husband and I bought it new in 2017 and it had a 1 year warranty, which is expired. Twice we got notifications to check the battery for a recall and it said the battery wasn't included in the recall, and we tried again today but the program didn't work. But the laptop overheats to the point where it can't functionally be used as a "lap top" unless we want to burn our legs. The case has warped and cracked in back and front. The battery will only charge 1-3% each time we unplug and replug it. The lid will not close all the way due to the warping. When the lid closes as much as possible the pc turns itself off. It also randomly shuts down. It's less than 3 years old, it really shouldn't be in this bad shape. We will never buy another HP. We cannot get  hold of a human agent. The Virtual Assistant stops working as soon as it finds out the Warranty is expired. But it's a faulty battery. And we can't afford to replace our computer.

I have gone through your Post and I understand your concerns

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

Thank you
