I have had this laptop for about the two years now. The hinge of the screen starts to fall apart. I have never drop this laptop nor did anything physically traumatising to it. I am quite disappointed as this is only two years old and it only happen a year after my warranty. I found out that I am not the only one that has this problem. I really hope this can be resolved!

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I can see how that would be difficult, this sounds like hardware related issue with the hinge assembly and in order to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically.  HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/

Please feel free to contact us here anytime you need any further assistance. Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Hi,

Thank you for the prompt reply. However I couldn't find the link that leads me to the support engineer page on the website. My warranty has run out and I tried to renewy warranty but it said that the warranty is no longer available to purchase. Please advise what else I can do.

Thank you very much.

Thank you for posting back.

I hear you, navigation can sometimes feel off-putting especially when all we want is immediacy. If you are having trouble navigating via the contact HP options, generally it is because either your product is Out of Warranty or you are trying to get support beyond the business hours and our business hours falls between 8am to 6pm EST. We also have an option to contact us via Facebook and Twitter in wake of exigency.
