Hi @nanna46823,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you to know how to start smart charging. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
Smart charging is a feature that helps extend the life of your battery by reducing the amount of time it spends at 100% charge. To activate smart charging on your HP laptop running Windows 11, you can follow these steps:
- Press the Power button to turn off your computer.
- Turn on your computer and repeatedly hit the F10 key to access the BIOS as soon as the display lights up.
- Go to the Configuration or Advanced tab, whichever is present.
On HP laptops
- Press the Power button to turn off the computer, then turn it on, and as soon as the display lights up, repeatedly hit the F10 key to access the BIOS.
- Go to the Configuration or Advanced tab, whichever is present.
- Now, use the arrow key to head to Adaptive Battery Optimizer and set the feature to Enabled.
- For some users, there’s the Battery Care Function option. In this case, set it to 80%, and the laptop will stop charging as soon as this limit is reached.
Use Smart charging in Windows
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
