I am planning to insert an SSD into my HP Pavilion 15-r002tu laptop. I want to know whether or not my laptop supports SSD and what kind of SSD should I insert. Also, does my laptop allow having two hard drives, one HDD and one SSD?
Laptop: hp 15-r002tu
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro
HDD Capacity: 500 GB

See p. 59 of the Service Manual here:
There is only a single bay for a 2.5 inch SATA hard drive, which can be replaced with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD, for which I recommend a Samsung 850 Evo model you can get on amazon.com or other sources.
The replacement operation is not really easy. It requires removing the top cover and quite a few screws. Post back if you need any more help with software migration, etc. If you feel like you could do without the DVD drive you can get a caddy which would let you put a hard drive in place of the DVD drive but we would have to discuss the pros and cons of that: I am not a big fan but a lot of people do it and it is not expensive or hard. You just don't want to put an SSD in such a device.
