so I emailed customer support

they informed me with this model

I can't use the m.2 slot and the hard drive slot

any conformations or was this just bad advice?

also when I go to clone and replace the hd with the purchased ssd

will I have to migrate (one of the options in easuse software) or clone

the cable comes with the hd

also will I have to (forgot what it's called) recertify windows. I received this laptop as a gift

will I have to enter the key? I know it is somewhere in the os anyone know where?

Hi Kharahk,

You can usually use both the M.2 (SATA only) and 2.5" slot in the ProBook 450 G4. (Support may have been overly cautious.) Refer to Maintance Guide: https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05270979.pdf

Use Clone in EaseUS when replacing your HDD.

No, you will not need to re-enter or buy a Windows key it’s stored in the firmware.
