Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

earlier ram was  of 2gb . I installed 4gb  more and usage space only 2.66 gb where as installed ram is 6gb

Hi:

 

If you are running a 32 bit operating system like you posted, the maximum memory that Windows can 'see and use' is limited to 4 GB.

 

So, 2.66 out of 4 GB is a bit low but still within the normal range as some of the system memory goes to support the shared system graphics memory.

 

If you want more memory to be recognized, you will need to install a 64 bit operating system.
