Are you sure you are running Windows 7 on your machine ? It won't work. Its specs

            https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06550475

Normally it supports 64GB max, it has 16GB on 1 slot now therefore you can upgrade to

   (a) 32GB: by adding same existing 16GB of RAM to slot 2 or using the following compatible RAM

                 https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct16g4sfd8266/ct16499431

   (b) 64GB: install 32GB each to both slots using the following compatible RAM

                https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k32g4sfd8266/ct16499459

Which year ? You can use its s/n to work out. Its s/n shout look like

                             CCSYWWZZZZ                (Y for year, 9 for 2029 and 0 for 2020)

Regards.
