HP Notebook - 15-da0066nx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Support Members,

I have purchased the note book with following details

I am selling my laptop with the configuration,

Product number:
5XT34EA

Product name:
HP Notebook - 15-da0066nx

Microprocessor
Intel® Core™ i7-7500U (2.7 GHz base frequency, up to 3.5 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 4 MB cache, 2 cores)

Memory, standard
8 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB)

Video graphics
NVIDIA® GeForce® MX130 (2 GB GDDR5 dedicated)

Discrete
NVIDIA® GeForce® MX130 (2 GB GDDR5 dedicated)

Hard drive
1 TB 5400 rpm SATA

Operating system
Windows 10 Home 64 - (I have upgraded to pro)

The computer always show 100% Disk usage, I have tried all possible solutions that i found on internet.

1) Disable the windows search, update, sysMain and other microsoft background services.

2) Disable HP background services.

3) Disable prefetch and also clean prefetch folder.

4) Clean Temp file run disk fragmentation.

I have dell i5 which is 1000 time better than hp notebook i7 with same windows 10 pro, even the windows search, sysmain and all Microsoft services are running in and enable in dell laptop.

The major difference I found even I open a edge browser the disk usage reached to 100% and dell has 0% .

After updating the sysmain the disk usage reached to 10% in ideal mode but when i open the application it hit back to 100% and I can't able to use the notebook any more.

Looking forward for the solution from HP side.

Regards

@Rashid_Bilgrami

Its specs

            https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06204026

It has  1 TB 5400 rpm SATA now.

1. Please use Task Manager to see who is the culprit ?

2. How much spare space on C: drive ?

The quick fix would be upgrade RAM to 16GB by adding 8GB more using SAME 8GB existing RAM

Regards.

Hi BH,

Thanks for your reply, there is nothing specific in the taskbar, As I mentioned earlier any program i will run the disk shorted to 100% disk space. At ideal mode its now showing 30 to 35% after closing many services.

The c drive still contains 714 GB free out of 915 GB.

Regarding to 16GB Ram i will check it out and replace 8 to 16 but currently the Ram is still using only 20 to 30% as per task bar showing the problem is with HD but any ways i will try to update the ram from 8 to 16.
